Day 4 - 3rd stage

Lourdes – Bagneres du Luchon 123km with 3400 meters of climbing…

The day before we arrived in the French department of Hautes-Pyrénées, which is where you meet the biggest and most legendary mountains... Yes, the day offers perhaps the most well-known mountain of the whole trip – Col du Tourmalet – a climb most cycling fans know and of course we have to pass this peak.

The stage offers several goodies for those who like altitude meters and as this tour’s queen stage, there are of course legendary climbs all day!

The following mountain peaks must be passed on this stage:

Today's climbs

⛰️ Col du Tourmalet 18.3 km - 7.7%

⛰️ Col d'Aspin 12.4 km - 6.5%.

⛰️ Col de Peyresourde 9.8 km - 7%

Only for group 1

⛰️ Luchon Superbagnères 17.2 km - 6.7% (optional)

If someone from group 2 wants to do the Luchon Superbagnères, it can be done on the rest day because it starts right outside the hotel. But we recommend that you take time off 😉
