Day 6 - 4th stage

Bagneres du Luchon – Saint Girons 108km with 2500 meters of climbing…

The shortest stage is the stage Bagnere-de-Luchon to Saint Girons, 108 km with 2500 hm, don’t let that fool you!

Yes, it’s The shortest day of the trip. But another hard day! But… It is another tough day!

We start hard and after just 1.5 km the first climb awaits, the Col de Portillon. It's straight out of the box, but by the time you reach the top, your legs are warm and ready to conquer more 'Cols'.

The day offers the following climbs:

Climbs of the day.

⛰️ Col du Portillon 8.1 km - 7.9%

⛰️ Col de Menté 9.2 km - 8.7%

⛰️ Col de Portet-d'Aspet 4.3 km - 9.8%

⛰️ Col de Portech 8.7 km - 5%

It is a highly underestimated stage with its only 108 km, because the climbs that await are difficult and steep. Several of the climbs were included in the 15th stage of this year's Tour de France (2024) and it was super exciting and intense to watch. It was undeniably a tough day for the Tour de France riders, who also started hard with the Col de Peyresourde and only contains Cat 1 and HC climbs.
