Girona Triathlon Camp
TRIATHLON CAMP
7 days - April13 to April 20, 2025
This camp offers a high volume of training and is designed for those preparing for the triathlon season, looking to boost their fitness before competition season begins. You can expect plenty of hours on the bike, but there are also swimming and running sessions included in the program.
Girona is a hub for cyclists and triathletes. Many professional athletes, including Jan Frodeno, Marten Van Riel, Luis Vincent, Kyle Smith, Youri Keulen, David McNamee, and more, live and train here. Additionally, over 100 professional cyclists have also made Girona their home, and once you experience it, you’ll see why!
The city is surrounded by beautiful mountains, flat terrain , and is not far from the Pyrenees. Girona itself is a charming Spanish medieval town, filled with bike shops, bike cafés, and historic treasures.
You’ll stay in a centrally located hotel in old town Girona, just a 15-minute walk from the famous GEIEG pool, which regularly hosts world-class triathletes.
While Girona is known by many as a cycling paradise, it’s also a fantastic destination for running. With an abundance of running paths that range from flat terrain and riverside routes to mountain trails, you’ll find anything you are looking for, all just behind the city. From our hotel, it’s only about 500 meters to these beautiful trail networks.

What is required to join?
To participate on this camp you need a bit of experience with triathlon. On the bike rides we will divide into 2 groups based on fitness level and the expected level would be as followed:
Group 1: +3.5 watts/kg FTP.
Group 2: 2.5 - 3.5 watts/kg FTP.
To clarify, we’re referring to a 20-minute FTP effort, not the ability to maintain 2.5 watts/kg for the entire ride.
We’ll divide participants into 2 groups based on fitness level and the number of participants.
Run Level
You can run 10 km faster than 55 minutes.
We'll run in 2 groups if necessary.
Triathlon bikes are welcome on this camp but please note that it’s not allowed to ride in aero position when riding in a group.
On flat and rolling terrain, we ride together as a group. On the climbs, you can challenge yourself if you want the extra push. We always regroup at the top of the climbs and after descents before heading together to the next mountain.
