TRAKA Race Camp
THE TRAKA Race Camp
April xx to May xx 2027
The Traka has become Europe's biggest gravel race, attracting thousands of riders from around the world to Girona every year. This camp is designed for riders who want to arrive at the start line as well-prepared as possible.
In the days leading up to the race, we'll ride reconnaissance routes covering selected sections of the course. We'll share local knowledge and help you prepare for race day with advice on equipment, nutrition, pacing, and race strategy.
At the same time, you'll experience the unique atmosphere that takes over Girona during The Traka. The city comes alive with gravel cycling, cafés are filled with riders from across the globe, and everywhere you can feel the excitement building towards race day.
We stay just 1 km from the start and finish area, right in the heart of Girona's historic Old Town. Simply step outside the hotel and you'll have easy access to the expo, race briefings, start area, and everything that makes The Traka one of the highlights of the gravel calendar.
Our goal is simple:
👉 To help you arrive at The Traka with greater confidence, better preparation, and fewer surprises on race day.
Why participate in The TRAKA Race Camp?
Bike & Luggage Transport from Denmark
Avoid the hassle of travelling with a bike box, extra luggage, and navigating airports with your cycling gear.
We offer direct transport of your bike and luggage from Denmark to Girona, so your bike is ready and waiting when you arrive.
Ride Key Sections of the Route Before Race Day
In the days leading up to The Traka, we'll ride selected sections of the course, giving you the opportunity to experience the terrain and familiarise yourself with the key parts of the route before race day.
This provides greater confidence, better preparation, and fewer surprises during the race.
Local Knowledge from an Experienced TRAKA Rider
The camp is led by Bekim Christensen, a former professional cyclist who has lived in Girona since 2018.
Bekim has completed both The Traka 200 and The Traka 360 and will share valuable insights into the route, terrain, and challenges you'll encounter during the race.
Stay Just 1 km from the Start and Finish Area
We stay in the heart of Girona old town, just a short distance from the start and finish area.
This gives you easy access to the expo, registration, race briefings, and the unique atmosphere that takes over the city during The Traka week.
Race Briefings for All Distances
Whether you're riding the 100 km, 200 km, or 360 km event, we'll review the route, key sections, pacing strategy, and nutrition planning to help you arrive at the start line fully prepared.
Optional Personal Feed Zone Service
If you'd like to use your own nutrition during the race, we offer a personal feed zone service at selected aid stations along the route.
This ensures you have access to the exact products you've trained with at home.
