
Day 2 - 1st stage
St. Jean de Luz – Barcus 125km med 2500 meters of climbing…
We start the first stage from the Atlantic coast at St. Jean de Luz and we move inland and over the first mountains. It would be a shame to say we are off to a soft start, although on paper it might look that way given what lies ahead in the following stages. But this stage offers several difficult climbs in the French department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
With its 125 km and 2500hm, it is a good and incredibly beautiful start to the trip and the Basque roads in France have breathtaking nature and lead us quietly closer to the huge and more well-known Pyrenees mountains. The day offers the following climbs:
