Day 5 - 4th stage
Pont de Suert - La Seu d'Urgell, 115 km - 2483 meters of climbing…
From El Pont de Suert, we find ourselves just a stone’s throw from the French border—and right on the doorstep of the legendary Pyrenees we know so well from the Tour de France.
But what many riders don’t realize is that the Spanish side of the Pyrenees is filled with hidden, almost secret mountain gems—every bit as dramatic, beautiful, and awe-inspiring as the famous climbs across the border. And today, we venture deeper into this spectacular and less-ridden part of the range.
Several of today’s climbs even featured in this year’s Vuelta a España, adding an extra layer of prestige to the journey. We conquer the renowned Port del Cantó before rolling into our final destination of the day: La Seu d’Urgell, perfectly located just below the mountain kingdom of Andorra.
