Day 6 - 5th stage
La Seu d'Urgell - Bagà, 150 km - 3713 meters of climbing…
We ease into the day with a gentle descent along the main road before turning onto a truly special climb—18 thrilling hairpin bends in just 7 km, offering breathtaking views at every turn. From there, a network of quiet, winding backroads unfolds before us once again… a true cycling paradise where you can immerse yourself fully in the beauty of the mountains.
Today features four steady, rewarding climbs, each with its own character.
The final ascent is the majestic Coll de Pal, the first climb of the trip that takes us above 2000 meters. It’s a climb that rivals the great giants of the Tour de France—spectacular, demanding, unforgettable—yet still a hidden gem known only to a lucky few.
If you prefer a slightly easier day, you can skip Coll de Pal entirely. The climb begins right in the town where our hotel is located, and the descent follows the same road back down, making it easy to opt out without missing the rest of the route.
