Day 8 - 7th stage
Camprodon - Girona, 126 km - 1916 meters of climbing…
Final Stage – and what a finish!
While this may well be the easiest stage of the entire tour, those who simply can’t get enough climbing have the chance to kick off the day with a true giant: Vallter 2000, topping out at 2100 meters. It’s a spectacular and demanding ascent, most recently featured in the 2024 Volta Catalunya, where Tadej Pogačar powered his way to victory.
Because we’re staying right at the base of the climb, you can choose your ideal finale:Start the morning by conquering this iconic mountain, or relax and join later for a more leisurely finish to the tour.
But make no mistake, this day is far from dull!
We continue through rolling, scenic terrain with no major climbs, and the profile tilts more downhill than up. The route leads us through the unique volcanic landscapes of La Garrotxa near Olot, before we glide our way back toward Girona.
In Girona, we celebrate the completion of our Volta Catalunya adventure with a wonderful dinner at one of the city’s many outstanding restaurants, sharing stories, laughs, and the sense of achievement from an unforgettable journey.
